The research team led by Professor Xie Chaowu from the College of Tourism, Huaqiao University (HQU) recently published apapertitled “Effect of Risk Message Framing on Tourists’ Travel Intention: Roles of Resilience and Impulsivity” in theJournal of Travel Research(JTR).Prof.XieChaowuis the paper’sfirst author, andZhang Jiangchi,a 3rd-year doctoralstudentfrom the College of Tourism is its corresponding author. Edith Cowan University of Australia also contributed to the published paper.

JTR,a world leading peer-reviewed journal in the field of tourism, ranked 1st in theSSCI journalsof tourism andhospitality management in 2021 (with an impact factor of 13.084in 2020). As aQ1 journal on theJournal Citation Reports(JCR) listanda category 4 ranked journal onthe Association of Business Schools (ABS)list, JTRis dedicated to publishing the latest research findings inrelevant fields of travel and tourism, including tourists’ consumptionbehavior, marketing, economics,anddestination management.
