In the afternoon of February 3rd, Xu Xipeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Huaqiao University (HQU), and Wu Jianping, President of HQU, paid a visit to students who stay on campus during winter vacation, and extended advance warm wishes for a very Happy Chinese New Year.

In the Student Community Service Hall, Xu visited the students on duty and made inquiries about their life and study at school. After arriving at the Laboratory Building of School of Medicine/School of Biomedical Sciences, Xu had a face-to-face exchange with the teachers and students who were still carrying out scientific research, showed great solicitude about their work and life at school, and learned about the lab operations and management during the vacation.

In Fanhua Science & Technology Building and Citongyuan, the student dormitory buildings, Wu visited the students who were doing scientific research in laboratories or studying and resting in dormitories. HQU will ensure sound logistics support for students’ study and life in the winter vacation, Wu noted.

In order to ensure the epidemic prevention and control on campus and create a warm festival atmosphere, HQU has launched multifaceted campus cultural activities including thematic education and exchange events, cultural art performances and outdoor sports, online daily clock-in and humanistic caring, so as to enrich their life at school and ensure a safe and harmonious winter vacation for them.
