On the evening of January 10^th, Tang Cuiying, first-class inspector from Bureau 10 of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of CPC Central Committee, and Xu Xipeng, President of Huaqiao University (HQU), joined Board of Directors in Hong Kong to celebrate Chinese New Year and exchanged views on HQU’s 60^th anniversary and the blueprint for further development.

The meeting was attended by members of Board of Directors including Lee Kwan Wah, Chan Sau Yan, Jose Yu Sun-say, Chan Chun-Keung, Tjia Boen Sien, Wang Qiongnan, Lee Pik-tsong, Chan Shing Sau, Choy So-yuk, Ding Lianghui, Henry Tan, Qiu Jianxin, Zhuang Yongxing, Judy Chan, Wang Hongchao. Cheng Helin and Chen Yue, Vice President and Chief Public-Relation Office (CPO) of Phoenix Chinese Channel, Cai Zhenzhi, consultant of Hong Kong Office of Board of Directors of HQU, Lau Sau Fung and Ding Fei Yu, senior vice chairman and vice chairman of HQU Hong Kong Alumni Association were also present. Attending directors and guests highly affirmed the progress made by HQU, and gave their comments and advice on 60^th anniversary and future development.

During their stay in Hong Kong, Tang Cuiying and Xu Xipeng have visited overseas Chinese associations and organizations, including the Hong Kong Federation of Overseas Chinese Associations (HKFOCA), the Federation of Alumni Associations of Chinese Colleges and Universities in Hong Kong (CUAA), the Hong Kong Overseas Chinese General Association (HKOCGA), and Asia Culture Limited. They also attended the Chinese New Year meeting held by HQU Hong Kong Alumni Association.

The delegation also included Wang Hui, chief from Section 6, Bureau 10 of the UFWD of CPC Central Committee, leaders from the Office of Board of Directors, Admissions Office, Anniversary Office, and Hong Kong Office of Board of Directors.
