Poem Recitation: You Are a Star, Lighting HQU Up

On the night of December 28^th, the 2019 Outstanding Students Award Ceremony of Huaqiao University (HQU) was held at the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Hall. It is the 1^st time that HQU has launched this event, which involves full-time undergraduate students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, overseas Chinese students as well as international students. The event aims at implementing the specialized campaign, cultivating talents, and spreading positivity by setting outstanding models.

Since the launch of the event in November this year, 87 students have been recommended by all colleges due to their excellent performance in fields ranging from academic and scientific research, community work, culture & sports, to public service. 10 students have been elected for each title, namely "Star of Learning", "Star of Community", "Star of Arts", and "Star of Public Service".

Among them, 4 students won the honorary title of "Star of HQU". Two students are from Class of 2021. They are Wu Hanming, a Malaysian student from College of Civil Engineering, and Wu Qianrong, a Taiwanese student from School of Arts. The other two students are from Class of 2020. They are Zhang Xinmei, a Macao student from School of Journalism and Communication, and Xu Minghui, a Malaysian student from College of Humanities. He Fulong, President of Tan Kah Kee Education Foundation, Wang Xiuyong and Wang Lixia, Vice Presidents of HQU, and Zhang Yunbo, Assistant to the President of HQU attended the ceremony and presented awards to these students.
