From December 14th to 20th, Peng Pei, Vice President of Huaqiao University (HQU), led a delegation to Thailand and Laos, having extensive exchanges and achieving broad consensus with colleges and universities, teachers and students in middle schools, overseas Chinese associations and communities, as well as Chinese Embassies and overseas Chinese Affairs Offices in both countries after introducing HQU's development and new benefits and opportunities for serving overseas Chinese.
In Chiang Mai, Thailand, accompanied by Pathamarat Nakanitanon, Vice President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU), the delegation visited teaching facilities and environment of CMRU. They also visited Yuntai Wenyuan, Teachers Association of Chinese Villages in Chiang Mai and Jiaolian Language School (City). The delegation signed an agreement with Jiaolian Language School to establish HQU's Admission Office in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
During the stay on Phuket Island in Thailand, the delegation visited the board of directors of Phuket Kusonsongkroh Foundation (Lok Xian Kok), Phuket Thaihua Asean Wittaya School, Phuket Wittayalai School, and the Confucius Classroom jointly established by HQU and Phuket Wittayalai School. While in Phuket Rajabhat University, Doungrat Koikitcharoen, Vice President of the university shared how the school was running. The delegation also held seminars on university guides at HQU's Admissions Office in Phuket Thaihua Asean Wittaya School, Phuket Wittayalai School and the Confucius Classroom, systematically introducing HQU’s admission policies to the students.
During the stay in Laos, the delegation paid a visit to Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Vientiane Chinese Association and HQU's Admission Office in Lieutou Chinese School in Vientiane, Laos.
Heads from the Admission Office and the College of Tourism of HQU also joined the visit.
