On December 20^th, the Blue Book of Overseas Chinese: Annual Report on Overseas Chinese Study (2019) was released by Huaqiao University (HQU) and Social Sciences Academic Press (SSAP) in Beijing.

The Blue Book is structured with three topics: Culture, Economy & Trade and Special Reports. Five reports from Culture mainly probe into overseas Chinese education abroad and the inheritance of Chinese culture. Three articles from Economy & Trade investigate the business operation of overseas Chinese and their external economic pressures and the corresponding solutions. Special Reports discuss the association and political involvement of overseas Chinese in Malaysia, and charitable donations from overseas Chinese families.

The Blue Book of Overseas Chinese has been published for the 9^th consecutive year since 2011, and has won a great number of awards, including four Annual Official Books (of 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018), four Annual Official Report of the Year (author: Rao Zhiming, Shen Ling, Zhao Kai, Hao Yuxin), the 2^nd Prize of the 11^th Outstanding Achievement Award of Philosophy and Social Science of Xiamen City. The Blue Book has been shortlisted for many years, as a non-SSAP annual, in the "SSAP Academic Publishing Programme for Innovation Projects". The Blue Book series has become HQU’s most representative research program concerning overseas Chinese and has been acknowledged by people at home and abroad, exerting significant influence all over the world.

Launch Event of the Blue Book of Overseas Chinese: Annual Report on Overseas Chinese Study 2019
