The 4^th National Model Design Competition of Undergraduates in Urban Underground Space Engineering was held in Henan University of Urban Construction from November 15^th to 17^th. 90 teams from 46 universities participated. Both two teams from Huaqiao University (HQU) won the first prize, which is the breakthrough of HQU in this event.

As a national professional skills contest, the competition is hosted by Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering (CSRME), and jointly organized by Underground Space Sub-society of CSRME and the Symposium on the Construction of City Underground Space Engineering. Up to now, HQU has won 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes and a third prize in this competition.
