At 7 a.m. on November 1st 2019, Huaqiao University (HQU) held a Chinese national flag-raising ceremony to celebrate its 59th founding anniversary on Quanzhou Campus, Xiamen Campus and Chinese Language and Culture College (CLCC). Meanwhile, HQU started the one-year countdown to its 60th anniversary and released Announcement No.1 of its 60th anniversary, the anniversary logo and website.
Among those who attended the ceremony were school leaders Xu Xipeng, Wu Jihuai, Liu Gong, Liu Bin, Zeng Lu, Peng Pei, Bi Mingqiang, party and administrative leaders, heads of colleges, school counselors as well as all the freshmen.
At the ceremony, HQU officially released Announcement No.1 of its 60th anniversary, sincerely inviting leaders, members of the school board, friends and alumni at home and abroad to gather at HQU on November 1-2, 2020 to reminisce about old friendships, celebrate the grand occasion and seek common development.
