The Opening Ceremony of  Unimpeded Trade Senior Seminar (2019) 

On the morning of October 22^nd, "Belt & Road" Talent Development Program·Unimpeded Trade Senior Seminar (2019) was held on Xiamen campus of Huaqiao University (HQU). It was co-sponsored by International Cooperation Center of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Tanoto Foundation and organized by HQU.

Thirty-six senior government officials, business elites, experts and scholars from twelve countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines and Sri Lanka will take part in a one-week senior workshop on unimpeded trade in China, which is a plan of the B&R talent development program.

Huang Qifan, vice president of China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) and former mayor of Chongqing, Lu Bingchun, vice mayor of Xiamen, Dr. J. Satrijo Tanudjojo, CEO of Tanoto Foundation, Xu Xipeng, president of HQU, and relevant leaders from International Cooperation Center of NDRC, as well as Xiamen Development and Reform Commission attended the ceremony. Zeng Lu, vice president of HQU, presided over the ceremony.

During the seminar, participants will listen to lectures about the B&R delivered by famous experts and scholars at home and abroad, and attend two roundtable forums named "Opportunities and Challenges of the B&R Development in the Asian-Pacific Region" and "Digitization and Future Capacity Planning". They will also visit famous industrial parks and enterprises in Xiamen and Quanzhou, so as to have a better understanding of China's effective measures on deeply implements on the innovation-driven development strategy and how to further stimulate the market vitality and social creativity.
