The Blue Book of 21^st-Century Maritime Silk Road: Research Report on 21^st-Century Maritime Silk Road (2018-2019), compiled by the Maritime Silk Road Research Institute of Huaqiao University (HQU), was recently published by the Social Sciences Academic Press. The editor-in-chief and deputy chief editor of the 2018-2019 Blue Book are Professor Jia Yimin and Professor Xu Peiyuan of HQU respectively. This is the second consecutive year that HQU has published a blue book of Maritime Silk Road.

The 2018-2019 Blue Book centers on the Belt and Road Initiative, especially the annual progress and important practical problems of the construction of 21^st-Century Maritime Silk Road, focuses on fields, including the maritime connectivity, economic and trade cooperation along the maritime silk road, the maritime security and risks, the seaway construction, the maritime geopolitics, etc. It also tracks the construction of platforms, the construction of mechanisms, the introduction of measures and the progress of projects of related nations and regions in terms of policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people bonds, with the goal to produce a professional and authoritative annual report on the 21^st-Century Maritime Silk Road. The 2018-2019 Blue Book not only reflects the development of frontier domains in the construction of 21^st-Century Maritime Silk Road but also provides references for the relevant academic researches and the development of enterprises along the maritime silk road.
