From March 9^th to 16^th, a delegation of Huaqiao University (HQU) led by Guan Yifan, the Party Secretary of HQU, visited Fiji and Australia for educational exchanges.

The delegation visited Western Sydney University, Australia-China Institute for Arts and Culture, University of Queensland and University of Technology Sydney.

The delegation exchanged their opinions with members of Australian Hua Xia Chinese Cultural and Educational Development and Sydney Hua Xia Chinese Culture School on overseas Chinese language teacher training in Xiamen, Chinese language pedagogy and Winter & Summer Camps. They also held a discussion with some teachers from Hua Xia Chinese Culture School, who took part in the overseas Chinese language teacher training in December 2018.

Besides, the delegation has visited the Australian Admissions Office of HQU and Australian Alumni Association of HQU, meeting some alumni and updating them on the school’s latest development. They also had a talk with some Australian Chinese language educators to further understand the current situation of Chinese education there and discussed the future cooperation in details.

Visiting the Laboratory of Prof. Huang Han in University of Queensland
