Recently, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced the evaluation results of the 2019 General Project for Humanities and Social Sciences Research. HQU was granted 15 projects, including 7 planned projects and 8 youth projects, 6 more than that in 2018, ranking 46th nationwide.
The approved projects cover 11 disciplines: Interdisciplinary/comprehensive research (3), Management (2), Arts (2), Marxism/Political science education (1), Philosophy (1), Linguistics (1), Economics (1), Law (1), Sociology (1), Statistics (1), Studies on Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan (1).
The projects are granted to schools as College of Tourism (2), School of Political Science and Public Administration (2), School of Marxism (1), School of Philosophy and Social Development (1), Chinese Language and Culture College (1), School of Architecture (1), College of Mechanical and Engineering Automation (1), School of Arts (1), Business School (1), School of Law (1), School of Statistics (1), School of Journalism and Communication (1) and College of Humanities (1).
32,676 items in total nationwide applied for this year’s MOE General Projects, of which 3,095 have been approved by experts through strict review. The average passing rate is 9.47%, while HQU reaches 15.15%.
