Root-seeking Summer Camp in China (2018) - the Chinese Language and Culture Camp for young overseas Chinese - commenced on the morning of May 20th at HQU. Over 100 overseas Chinese students launched their journey of root-seeking. These campers come from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (Thailand), Universitas Tarumanagara (Indonesia), Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (Indonesia), Universitas Kristen Petra (Indonesia), Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Asing Persahabatan International Asia (Indonesia), and Sekolah Tinggi Bahasa Harapan Bersama (Indonesia).
During the 15-day camp, the campers will take courses including Chinese language, Chinese history, Chinese literature, Chinese paintings and calligraphy, etc. They will also visit the HQU campuses, travel through historic and cultural landmarks in Fujian Province, and experience both urban and rural life in Fujian.
