Lin Hongyu, born in January 1969, is a professor with a master’s degree and a doctorate. As a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC), he is the Standing Committee Member of the CPC Huaqiao University Committee and currently serves as the Vice President of Huaqiao University.

Lin Hongyu is responsible for overseeing the publicity, security and stability of Huaqiao University. He is also in charge of the Chinese language education and heads Publicity Department/News Center, the Safety and Security Department, and the Chinese Language and Culture Education. In addition, he heads the School of Philosophy and Social Development, the College of International Relations/the Institute of International Relations, the Chinese Language and Culture College, the School of Preparatory Education, the Maritime Silk Road Institute, and the the Academy of Chinese Language and Culture Education of Huaqiao University.
