A delegation led by Xu Xipeng, Secretary of Huaqiao University (HQU) CPC Committee recently concluded a productive visit to Taiwan, highlighted by participation in the 16th cross-Strait seminar for heads of cross-Strait affairs departments of prestigious universities hosted by Chung Yuan Christian University.

During the seminar, the delegation engaged with over 100 colleagues from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, delving into key topics such as deepening cross-Strait cooperation and exchanges between universities, fostering high-quality lifelong learning environments, and raising student awareness of sustainable development and higher education. The delegation also visited several renowned institutions in Taiwan, including Chang Gung University, Shih Hsin University, Ming Chuan University, and National Quemoy University. They exchanged views with their counterparts and reached a consensus on strengthening youth exchanges, as well as academic and research collaboration between the two sides.

The HQU delegation consists of Vice President Wang Xiuyong, as well as the heads of Office of Educational Administration, the Science and Technology Research Department, the College of Fine Arts, and Office of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese Affairs.
