On November 13, Council of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) Co-established with HQU and International Symposium on Confucius Institute (Classroom) Characteristic Education kicked off in Bangkok, Thailand. This event was jointly sponsored by Huaqiao University and Kasetsart University, and held by the Confucius Institute of Kasetsart University. Nearly 30 directors from 5 HQU co-established Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) in Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar and Austria attended the event. This is the first joint council of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) HQU has convened.

During the seminar session, representatives from the Confucius Institute at Kasetsart University in Thailand, the Confucius Classroom at Phuket Wittayalai School in Thailand, the Confucius Institute at Ateneo de Davao University in the Philippines, the Fuxing Confucius Classroom in Myanmar, and the Confucius Classroom at Vienna Chinese School in Austria shared their experience and practices in running their institutions. The attendees acknowledged that Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) served as a key platform for the dissemination of Chinese culture as well as the exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations. They expressed optimism that such organizations will flourish in more countries and regions, enhancing cultural exchanges and fostering scientific and technological cooperation in the world. The symposium itself helped to promote the collaboration among Confucius Institutes (Classrooms), bringing together wisdom and strategies that could further the global reach of Chinese culture. The participants were also looking forward to future communication, jointly contributing to the sustainable development of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) and the advancement of international Chinese education.

Paralleling the symposium, a council conference of the above-mentioned Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) was held. Directors from these institutions conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the operation and existing problems of the Confucius Institutes (Classrooms). Moreover, the directors of the Confucius Institute at Kasetsart University and the Confucius Classroom at Phuket Wittayalai School in Thailand reached a consensus on the key projects of China-Thailand exchanges in the coming year.
