On October 23rd, Huaqiao University (HQU) and Xiamen International Bank signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two institutions will collaborate in the fields of talent development, research projects, and financial services, jointly promoting the high-quality development of finance for overseas Chinese.

The signing ceremony took place in Wang Yuanxing International Conference Center at HQU. HQU President Wu Jianping and President Cao Yunchuan of Xiamen International Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions and delivered speeches as well. Wu also accepted a donation from Xiamen International Bank on behalf of the university and presented a donation certificate in recognition of the bank’s support.

After the ceremony, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on the specifics of the cooperation.

Leaders from HQU School of Economics and Finance and the Student Affairs Office, as well as Wang Jianguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fujian Management Center and General Manager of the Overseas Chinese Finance Department of Xiamen International Bank, Zhang Zhirong, Minister of the Party Committee Organization Department and General Manager of the Human Resources Department of the Head Office, and heads of relevant departments of the bank participated in the event.
