On May 19, Huaqiao University (HQU) student Guo Xinwa and his partner Chen Fanghui triumphed in the mixed doubles final at Thailand Open 2024, a badminton Super 500 tournament.

The Chinese pair fought all the way to the title, coming from behind in the final to beat the top seeds in the tournament, Thai’s Dechapol and Sapsiree 2-1, and won China’s only title in Bangkok this year.
