HQUers Home and Abroad Celebrate the Chinese New Year’s Eve

Release time:2023-01-21      Author:

On the Lunar New Year’s Eve of 2023, HQU offer students and staff at campus different choices of set meals as traditional “New Year’s Eve Dinner”, which can be taken away or eaten in canteens. At 5 p.m., nearly 400 students from Thailand, Myanmar, Turkmenistan, Benin, Malaysia as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan went to different canteens in Quanzhou and Xiamen campuses to enjoy their favorite New Year’s Eve dinner sets. Some traditional lucky sayings with “rabbit” were used to name the dinner sets to greet a happy and prosperous Chinese Rabbit Year.

In addition to the New Year's Eve dinner sets, our school has also prepared for students and teachers free breakfast and lunch on Lunar New Year’s Day and lunch on the second day. What’s more, student communities and colleges have also organized various Spring Festival activities, creating a strong festival atmosphere on the campus.
