At 7:00 a.m. on Oct 1,Huaqiao University (HQU) held a flag-raising ceremonyto celebrate the 73^rdanniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of Chinaat both Quanzhou and Xiamen campuses.

As the National Anthem was played the Five-Starred Red Flag was raised slowly and ceremoniously.

The flag-raising ceremony was organized by the students from a special class for young Marxists and from the Communist Youth League Committee of HQU. Some outstanding CPC student members, League members and 15 student representatives from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan attended the flag-raising ceremony.
