September 10th is the traditional Chinese Mid-autumn Festival for this year. The Tea Party for overseas students of Class of 2026, one of the series of activities of HQU Chengzhi freshmen training camp, was held simultaneously on both Xiamen and Quanzhou campuses.The head of the department of student affairs and some counselors for the overseas students exchanged with over 30 student representatives to celebrate the festival.

At the Tea Party, overseas Chinese freshmen from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan of China, as well as those from Zambia, the Philippines, Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, North Korea, and Fiji, spoke in turn. They talked freely about their feelings for their new life in Huaqiao University, exchanged holiday wishes, and shared experience on their study and life, such as residence permit application, use of on-campus bike sharing service, campus network application, and signing for the delivery.The participating teachers sent holiday greetings to the students and hoped the students could make friends and integrate into university life as soon as possible.

Since September 7th, overseas undergraduate Class of 2026 have participated in the 12-day Chengzhi freshmen training camp to start a new college life.Aiming to help the overseas students get involved in the university life sooner and better, the training includes a series of colorful cultural lectures promoting exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, such as “University, Life, and Career”, “Guide to Classics of Chinese Studies”, “Image of China in the New Era”, as well as some practical courses, for example, the exchange activities between the freshmen and senior overseas students.
