According to the latest Essential Science Indicators (ESI) data released in May and July of 2022, the Chemistry of Huaqiao University (HQU) ranks ground-breakingly in global top 5‰, with a potential value of 107.56%.

Another discipline, HQU’s Engineering (potential value at 181.82%) has also made to the ESI top 5‰.

ESI is a quantitative analytical database sourced from Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI). This index analyzes SCIE and SSCI articles and reviews and their citations in the past ten years by discipline, and includes the top 1% cited universities and institutions in the rankings. The data is updated once every 2 months.
