Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education of PRC (MOE) released the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate professional construction sites in 2021. 17 majors in HQU have been approved as national first-class undergraduate professional construction sites, and 8 majors as Fujian provincial first-class undergraduate professional construction sites. So far, HQU has a total of 52 first-class undergraduate majors, accounting for 76.4% of the programs for enrollment.Among those majors,35 are at national level, accounting for 51.47% of the programs for enrollment.

Both the number of the third round approved national first-class undergraduate professional construction sites and the proportion of the total number of the national first-class undergraduate professional construction sites to all the programs for enrollment in HQU have ranked the second among universities in Fujian Province.
