To embrace the 51^st World Environment Day on June 5^th, 2022, the new media studio of Huaqiao University (HQU), Voice of Overseas Students, created a public service announcement (PSA) with Yang Lan, a well-known TV hostess of China, at the invitation of China Radio International (CRI) Online in a bid to advocate people to protect the environment like protecting their eyes and treat the environment like treating their lives.

In the PSA, HQU international students Wei Yuda from Angola, Peter from Ireland, Luo Yafei from Thailand, Su Meizhu from the Philippines, Wu Ruiyin and Zhou Jingru from Indonesia joined Yan Lang to “start from each and every one of us in jointly building a clean and beautiful world”. They envisioned an ideal world and called upon people to pursue clear water and luxuriant mountains as well as wealth.

Voice of Overseas Students has made 262 multilingual video clips, featuring over 200 international student anchors from 16 countries, including the United States, Ireland, Angola, and South Africa. By inviting foreign friends to tell China stories on the state media, the non-governmental studio has opened a channel to reach out to international netizens.
