The result of the Fourth National University Structural Design Information Technology Contest (NUSDITC) was officially announced recently. Huaqiao University (HQU) stood out from the 1,047 teams from 290 universities in Category A, with 10 teams from College of Civil Engineering winning 2 grand prizes, 3 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 2 third prizes.
Hosted by the Education Working Committee of China Civil Engineering Society (CCES) and School of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University (THU), NUSDITC is one of the most influential contests for civil engineering majors in China. This contest includes two categories, one for teams formed by graduate and undergraduate students and another for those of vocational college students.
Being committed to training outstanding engineers, teachers from the College of Civil Engineering have actively instructed students in the extracurricular practices and achieved good results. By far, HQU students have won 6 grand prizes, 10 first prizes, 12 second prizes and 3 third prizes in the NUSDITC.
