The 4^thChina International Import Expo (CIIE) was held from November 5^thto 10^thin Shanghai. Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech entitledLet the Breeze of Openness Bring Warmth to the Worldvia video at the opening ceremony of the 4^thCIIE on Thursday evening. The CIIE, the first national-level import-themed professional trade fair in the world, is emerging as an ideal platform for global enterprises to enter the Chinese market.

The international students of Huaqiao University (HQU) from Ireland, Angola, Estonia, Thailand and other countries shot a Chinese/English bilingual short-video to cheer for the CIIE. On behalf of the enterprises from their own countries, they expressed their gratitude to China for sharing development opportunities with the rest of the world and injecting more positive energy into the international community. Pushed by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), the video was reposted by media outlets both at home and abroad, including China Radio International (CRI) Online and People’s Daily Overseas Edition, triggering heated discussion among netizens.
