2021 Online Chinese Culture Land -- South America Camp Starts

On July 11st, the 2021 Online Chinese Culture Land -- South America Camp held its opening ceremony. 431 ethnic Chinese youngsters from Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile and Bolivia have participated in this event.

2021 Online Chinese Culture Land -- South America Camp is sponsored by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China and hosted by Huaqiao University (HQU) and co-organized by Sao Paulo Chinese Support Center of Brazil Chinese Association, Chinese Language and Cultural Education Foundation in Argentina, Sociedad Central de Beneficencia China, Ton Huy Chong Koc, Chinese School of Zhijing Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of Chile, and Siyuan Chinese School in Bolivia. For 12 days, the camp will offer courses of Chinese martial arts, Chinese songs, folk dances, fun with Chinese characters, Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, poetry recitation, Chinese handicrafts, as well as crayon painting. In combination with the actual needs, it will also provide a seminar titled “Prevention and Control of the Epidemic, Health for Everyone” and a parent forum themed as “Adolescent Education”. In addition, the camp will show overseas Chinese youngsters the beautiful scenery and special culture of Xiamen through liveview classes.

Chinese Culture Land is a series of brand activities of the Overseas Chinese Language Education of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, which aims to promote the Chinese culture abroad and enhance the awareness and understanding of Chinese culture among the local communities. Being conducted through an online-to-offline combination, courses of more fun and interactivity will be offered through live broadcast, video recording, WeChat class groups and other media forms. The 2021 Online Chinese Culture Land -- South America Camp can help raise the interest and enthusiasm of overseas Chinese youngsters for Chinese culture, so that they can better “Tell China’s stories” and spread the Chinese voice to the world.
