Since March 27, faculty, students and staff at Huaqiao University (HQU) have received COVID-19 vaccines in batches on the principle of "informed, voluntary and free". Nearly 13,000 people on Xiamen campus were vaccinated on 27^th and 28^th. Vaccination for Quanzhou Campus will be carried out in the near future according to the relevant work arrangement of Quanzhou City.

At the temporary vaccination site in the Badminton and Tennis Hall of Xiamen campus, there are six work areas for temperature measurement, signing of informed consent forms and health inquiry, information registration and verification, vaccination, observation, and emergency treatment respectively. Students entered the vaccination venue at different times, and got vaccinated in an orderly manner as directed.

During the vaccination days, Wang Tingliang, Deputy Secretary General of Xiamen Municipal People’s Government, and leaders of Xiamen Municipal Health Commission, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Education, Huli District People’s Government, Huli Health Bureau, and Huli Center for Disease Prevention and Control came to the school for on-site guidance.

Xu Xipeng, Party Secretary of HQU, who had received the COVID-19 vaccine, came to the site to visit the medical staff and ask teachers and students about their feelings after vaccination. HQU President Wu Jianping and other school leaders took the lead in vaccination.

Huaqiao University attaches great importance to the COVID-19 vaccination and has held several special work meetings on the vaccination plan and made detailed arrangements for the relevant work.
