The 2020 “Chinese Bridge” online winter camp, sponsored by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and organized by Huaqiao University, was successfully held recently. More than 200 overseas teenagers from Thailand, Germany, Italy and other countries met online to appreciate the charm of Chinese language and the connotation of culture in southern Fujian Province, also known as Minnan culture.

With the support of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Huaqiao University held online communication group project of “Chinese Bridge”. The project, on the theme of “Enjoy the beauty of Chinese language and the taste of Minnan culture”, provides students with customized language and culture courses.

These courses, featured by the combination of language and culture, take on the forms of live broadcast, recorded broadcast and live classroom for students to choose from, to ensure the quality of students’ learning. The project also tailors, to the needs of overseas teenagers, experiential courses including Chinese language, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese musical instrument Guzheng, recitation and lectures on Chinese culture.
