As the Spring Festival is drawing near, Wu Jianping, President of Huaqiao University (HQU) visited some teachers who were still working on campus on the morning of Feb. 4^th.

President Wu Jianping came to the laboratory and the studio where he cordially exchanged with some professors about the difficulties they’ve encountered in teaching, scientific research, work as well as their life. He also listened to all opinions and suggestions on the development of the 14^th Five-Year Plan of HQU, especially on talent training, academic research, discipline construction and reform of education evaluation, and reminded them to protect themselves during the epidemic of COVID-19. At the end of the visit, Wu Jianping exchanged WeChat ID with the professors, asking them to offer valuable advice and suggestions on the work of HQU at any time.

Wu Jianping said that teachers are the fundamental guarantee for school running, and professors are important forces in the development of HQU as their academic influences are essential to the reputation of HQU. With Chinese New Year’s approaching, Wu Jianping, on behalf of HQU, thanked all teaching staff for their long-term contributions to the reform and development of the school and extended sincere New Year greetings to them.

The head of Human Resources Office of HQU also joined the visit.
