, HQU held an unveiling ceremony for Feishang Building donated by Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (PCCCII).
Located in Fenghuang Garden of Xiamen Campus, Feishang Building is a 7-floor student dormitory with a construction area of 2200 square meters.
Attending the unveiling ceremony were Hong Jixiang, President of PCCCII and representatives of the donor, Feng Zhinong, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Fujian Provincial People's Government, He Xiuzhen, Administrative Vice-Minister of the United Front Work Department of CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee and Director of Xiamen Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Pan Shaoluan, Chairman of the Returned Overseas Chinese Federation of Xiamen, Jose Go, President Emeritus of PCCCII and Wu Jihuai, Vice President of HQU. HQU Vice President Zeng Lu presided over the ceremony.
Over 40 representatives of PCCCII, including its Vice Presidents, Directors and Members of the Standing Committee were also present.
Chinese Filipinos always cherish their love for their hometown and homeland and preserve the tradition of selfless dedication. They have maintained close ties with HQU since the last century. They have donated nearly 20 projects such as the Feihua Building, Yongliang Building and Tan Yan Kee Building to the university, and established a number of scholarships & grants and funds, making outstanding contributions to the development and construction of HQU.
