On October 16^th, the 2019 Overseas Chinese Language Teachers' Seminar was launched on Xiamen Campus of Huaqiao University (HQU). Nearly 80 overseas Chinese language teachers from 17 countries including Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Chile and South Africa came to HQU to take part in the 18-day training.

It is the fourth consecutive year that HQU organizes the training program. HQU will actively carry out the overseas Chinese language teachers training program with the integration of training, examination and certification under the guidance of "formalization, standardization and specialization" of the Bureau of Overseas Chinese Affairs of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee. HQU will continue to focus on building a comprehensive "Chinese Language Education" system and further enhancing the ability to serve overseas Chinese to maintain their "Chinese Soul" and contribute to the survival and development of Chinese culture abroad.
