Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) has released its list of 2018 Top 1% Highly-cited Chinese Authors recently. Professor Wu Jihuai, doctoral supervisor and Vice President of Huaqiao University (HQU), ranks the 13^th place in list of the field of General Chemistry.

A total of 82 scholars from 47 domestic universities and research institutes have made the list this time, among whom 6 scholars are from universities in Fujian, namely HQU, Xiamen University and Fuzhou University.

Founded in London in 1841, RSC is well known in various areas such as international exchanges in chemistry, chemical journals, conferences, scientific research, education and chemical science promotion to public, etc. To highlight the outstanding contributions of Chinese authors in international chemical research, RSC counted the citations of the papers published in more than 40 RSC journals. It sorted out the list of corresponding authors from Chinese universities and research institutes according to 2018 top 1% highly-cited papers published from 2016 to 2017. In terms of General Chemistry, RSC has top journals of international chemical science including Chemical Society Reviews, Chemical Communications, Chemical Science, Faraday Discussions, New Journal of Chemistry and RSC Advances.
