Dr. Huang Jianhua from College of Material Science and Engineering, Huaqiao University (HQU), has made a significant progress in the field of designing and synthesizing a novel and high-performance polymer acceptors and published a paper entitled "8.78% Efficient All-Polymer Solar Cells Enabled by Polymer Acceptors Based on A B←N Embedded Electron-Deficient Unit" in Advanced Materials, a leading journal (IF: 25.809) under Wiley, a German Publisher recently.
Units of the High-performance (> 8%) Polymer Acceptor
Using PBDB-T as the donor and BN-2fT as the acceptor, all-polymer solar cells (PSCs) afford an encouraging efficiency of 8.78%.
The research was led by College of Materials Science and Engineering (HQU) and jointly accomplished by Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS), the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), etc. Sponsored by National Science Foundation of China and HQU’s foundation, it is jointly completed by HQU graduate students Li Yongchun (graduated) as the first author from class of 2019, and Meng Huifeng as the co-author from class of 2020, as well as Dr. Huang Jianhua (HQU) as the first corresponding author, and Pro. Zhan Chuanlang (ICCAS), Dr. Liu Taobo (HKUST) and Pro. Yan He (HKUST) as the co- corresponding author. Li Yuqing, Pang Bo and Xiang Ying, students of College of Materials Science and Engineering (HQU) also participated in the work.
