According to a recent notice from the China Scholarship Council (CSC), three international summer school programs proposed by Huaqiao University (HQU) have been greenlit. These programs include International Summer Camp on New Energy and Renewable Energy, “Huachuang Spark” Smart Manufacturing Technology International Summer School, and Sino-Thai International Summer Internship Camp on New Energy Materials. This marks the first time HQU has applied for and successfully secured approval for such programs.
The three newly approved summer programs will be spearheaded and hosted by HQU’s Institute of Advanced Carbon Conversion Technology, the Institute of Manufacturing Engineering, and the College of Materials Science & Engineering.Aligned with China’s national strategy for global educational outreachand the“Study in China” initiative, these programs fully leverage the university’s distinctive strengths in engineering disciplines. They are specifically designed to attract students, faculty, and early-career researchers from developed countries in Europe and America and the participating countries of the Belt and Road Initiative.
The approval of these international summer programs serves as affirmation of HQU’s longstanding commitment to cultivation of international exchange programs on campus. It will significantly elevate the university’s international collaborations propel its Double First-Class Initiative to new heights.
