From Mar. 22 to 25, a national event for student unions to exchange and display their student service projects was held in Guizhou. The event was hosted by All-China Students’ Federation (ACSF) and organized by the Guizhou Provincial Students’ Federation under the instruction of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC). A mental health project named “AI-empowered Music Healing” designed by the student union of the College of Engineering of Huaqiao University (HQU) was selected as one of the 100 excellent student service projects and one of the 100 most favored projects, together with 5 and 2 other projects from Fujian.

This event covers 10 key areas, including moral education, academic study, employment and entrepreneurship, social practice, mental health, ethnic unity, outreach programs, campus life, extracurricular activities, and other. The top 100 projects stood out from 3,581 submitted entries by 1,724 universities, after the recommendation and selection at college, provincial and national levels.

HQU has always attached great importance to student unions’ student service. Since the launch of this activity, the Department of Student Affairs has collected 28 projects, and recommended 3 of them to the provincial committee of the CYLC. All of them passed the provincial final review, 2 were selected for the preliminary review at the national level (the top 500), and 1 was listed as one of the national top 100 projects. In the future, student unions at HQU will continue to serve students whole heartedly, constantly improve their satisfaction, make larger contribution, and even win recognition from the society.
