From June 17^th to 21^st, the 17^th China Cross-Straits Technology and Projects Fair (hereinafter called "6.18"CSTPF, or the 6.18 Fair) was held in Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center. Huaqiao University (HQU) participated in the Fair with 663 scientific and technological achievements and authorized patented technologies. More than sixty people led by President Xu Xipeng and Vice-President Wu Jihuai attended the exhibition, including heads of Science and Technology Research Department, Xiamen Institute of Engineering and Technology, Quanzhou Institute of Science and Technology and Social Development, and Assets Management Co., Ltd. as well as teachers of relevant colleges and representatives of cooperative enterprises.

On this 6.18 Fair, HQU focused on displaying the achievements of research teams and research projects in Jimei Auto Town and Industrial Incubation Fund in the independent exhibition area for Fujian provincial universities on industry clusters of engineering machinery, new materials, biology and medicine, which fully reflected HQU's capacity of serving the local economy on the aspects of discipline construction, platform construction, scientific and technological innovation and talent cultivation.

Meanwhile, the university also displayed project objects and exhibition boards in the exhibition areas for Fujian Provincial Department of Education "Internet plus", the overseas cooperation achievements, Fujian Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Fujian Provincial Department of Ocean and Fisheries. The exhibition projects were highly concerned by many enterprises, and had been interviewed on the spot by media such as Sina, Fujian Education TV Station and so on.

At the signing ceremony for the matchmaking of college science and technology projects, the College of Mechanical and Engineering Automation and the College of Computer Science and Technology of HQU respectively matched with Fujian Southchina Heavy Machinery Manufacture Co. Ltd. and Fujian Site Electronics Co., Ltd for project of "Research and Industrialization of Electrically Driven Wheeled Excavator" and "Research and Development of AI-Based Recognition System for Edible Agricultural Products and Farming Behavior". On the promotion and matchmaking meeting for the project achievements of the promotion of scientific and technological innovation platform, the "Fujian Province Industry-University-Research Cooperation Demonstration Base" of the College of Mechanical and Engineering Automation of HQU participated in the licensing ceremony.
