From June 15th to 16th, Huaqiao University (HQU) organized 46 Kah Kee School students from countries along "the Belt and Road Initiative" including Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Kampuchea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines, etc., to visit Fuzhou masters' residences.
On the 15th, the students came to "Three Lanes and Seven Lanes", which enjoys the reputation of the "Living Fossil of China's Urban Lifang System" and "China Ming and Qing Dynasties' Architectural Museum". They visited the residences of Lin Zexu, Bingxin and Yanfu successively to learn the advanced deeds of those representative historical figures in modern and contemporary Chinese history. They also appreciated Fujian traditional folk culture and the model space of the Living Fossil of Chinese Lifang System.
On the 16th, they went to Mawei District, Fujian, the birthplace of Chinese shipping culture and cradle of modern navy, and visited the China Chuanzheng Culture Museum and the Memorial Hall of Sino-French Naval Battle in Majiang River to study in depth the fruitful achievements of modern China in industry, shipbuilding and aviation.
In the afternoon, the licensing ceremony of the National Situation Education Base of HQU Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students was held at the Overseas Chinese Museum in Fuzhou. At the ceremony, representatives of both sides signed an agreement to build a joint base, and made a discussion on how to further deepen cooperation and train outstanding Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students.
