On May 9^th-16^th, Huaqiao University (HQU) Vice President Wu Jihuai led a delegation on an educational visit and exchange to the Netherlands and Germany.

At Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (Windesheim), the delegation was received by Windesheim Vice President Egon van der Veer, ICT Program Manager Ilja Clabbers, Head of International Office Rob Maat and ICT Program International Coordinator Jochem Johannes Hilhorst.

During their stay in the Netherlands, the delegation also went to Chinese School "Fa Yin" for a visit, held talks with the School Board President Lam Cing-Ci, Headmaster Y. K. Mok and other school board members, and conducted several classroom observations there.

At the Technische Universität Dortmund of Germany, the delegation visited the Institute of Energy Systems, Energy Efficiency and Energy Economics (IEEE) and took a laboratory tour concerning engineering education. They also listened to a report on educating elite engineers delivered by Prof. Ulf Häger, head of the IEEE, and exchanged views on the accreditation of engineering education and the cultivation of human resources through school-enterprise cooperation. They then discussed on further academic exchanges between the two universities.

On a tour to the Universität Tübingen, the delegation paid a visit to the China Centre Tübingen (CCT) and held a meeting with Prof. Matthias Niedenführ, the Executive Director of CCT.

The delegation then visited Huayin Chinese Language School at Frankfurt am Main, and talked with its administrator Chang Hu.

During the visit, the delegation also met with some HQU alumni and exchange students in the Netherlands and Germany, updating them on the recent development of the university and inquiring about their study, work and life there.
