On the afternoon of April 9^th, 2019, Zeng Lu, Vice President of Huaqiao University (HQU) met with the delegation led by Chen Ching-Ho, Vice President from Shih Hsin University, Taiwan at Li Keqi memorial building. Zeng introduced the university characteristics and missions, and HQU's cooperation with universities from Taiwan, especially with Shih Hsin University, in recent years.

Chen Ching-Ho made a brief introduction on Shih Hsin University and shared the experience of school innovation. He hoped to promote the mutual development by enhancing the cooperation with HQU in teachers’ cultivation, curriculum program, the build of new media, etc.   

Both parties also had a discussion on the promotion of traditional Chinese culture, the exchange of teachers and students and the incentive system of research programs, and reached a consensus on further cooperation.

Since the cooperation agreement signed in November, 2013, the cooperation and exchange between the two universities have increased gradually, including delegation visits, teachers and students' visits and academic conferences. From 2014 to 2019, 93 HQU students were enrolled in Shih Hsin University, and 11 among them presently studying there are from HQU’s School of Journalism and Communication.
