On the morning of November 24^th, the 1^st International Forum on Innovation & Entrepreneurship Research (IER) was held in Tan Kah Kee Memorial Hall, Huaqiao University (HQU). Nearly 100 guests and representatives from China, Australia, America and Japan attended this forum. They are engaged in theoretical and practical research of innovation and entrepreneurship in colleges, research institutes as well as enterprises.  

      On the two-day forum, such activities were organized as Face-to-Face Communication of Editors-in-chief, Entrepreneurs Forum, Social Entrepreneurship Workshop, Research on Innovation & Entrepreneurship Management and Sub-forum on Innovation & Entrepreneurship Education. After heated discussion on Research and Practice on Innovation & Entrepreneurship in the New Era, experts and scholars carried out first-hand investigation on the Maritime Silk Road cultures and heritages in Quanzhou.

      Mainly hosted by the Business School of HQU and the Social Enterprise Research Center of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, this forum is also co-hosted by a series of journals---R&D Management, Fujian Forum, Economic Management, Journal of Huaqiao University, Management and Organization Review, Asia-Pacific Journal of Human Resources, Chinese Management Studies, as well as the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute in Quanzhou Normal University, HQU MBA Center, HQU MPAcc Center, HQU Oriental Enterprise Management Center, HQU Center for Business Management & Studies, and HQU Institute of Chinese Business. The forum aims to gather practical experience of IER and the intellectual resources of universities, to speed up social innovation as well as sustainable entrepreneurship, thus promoting regional school-enterprise cooperation, and the transformation of scientific research achievements.
