On November 24^th, the 12^th International Symposium of Asia Design Culture Society (ADCS), initiated by ADCS and hosted by Huaqiao University, opened at Wang Yuanxing International Conference Center in Huaqiao University (HQU). Nearly 200 delegations from more than 40 higher education institutions, research institutes and companies from Japan, the Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Macao attended this symposium.

      Under the theme of "Design Culture and Region", the symposium encompassed discussions in the fields including Regional Symbiosis Environment, Unique Cultural Creative Products, Cultural Integration and Cultural Heritages, Traditional Crafts Revival and Inheritance, Localization of New Techniques, Community Building and Living Space, Living with Less and Sustainable Development, and held a seminar with the theme "Design for Regional Development".
