HQU and AdDU Sign the Agreement to Co-found a Confucius Institute

       On November 13th, the signing ceremony of the agreement on the establishment of friendship city relationship between Jinjiang, Fujian Province, China and Davao, the Philippines was held in Jinjiang. At the ceremony, Huaqiao University (HQU) signed the MOU and the agreement with Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), the Philippines, on the co-construction of a Confucius Institute to enhance the cooperation of faculty and students exchange and joint research.

        After the signing ceremony, accompanied by Zeng Lu, Vice-President of HQU, Joel E. Tabora, S.J., President of AdDu and his party visited HQU’s History Museum, History Museum of the College of Chinese Language and Culture, HQU, and the Chinese Culture Classroom at Xiamen campus of HQU. They also experienced Chinese calligraphy and tea art.

        AdDU, founded in 1948, is a well-known private research university in the Philippines, listing 251-300 according to QS Asia University Rankings.
