HQU Wins the Gold Award in a National Advertising Arts Festival

      The micro film Solitude, jointly submitted by Huaqiao University and Wenzhou University, has won the Gold Award of Micro Film in the recent 16th Academy Award of Advertising Arts Festival for Chinese College Students (Spring Season). The award ceremony was held at Media Center of CCTV.

      Teachers and students from more than 2,500 colleges and universities in 23 provinces, 4 municipalities directly under the central government and 5 autonomous regions, entered this competition and submitted a total of 170,507 series with 215,955 pieces of works. The competition was divided into different categories including print ads, television ads, micro films, ad copies, marketing plans, tweets and H5 mobile interactive ads. All the entries should meet the requirements of corresponding categories.

      The prize-winning micro film describes how today’s young people enjoy solitude through five parts: reading alone, discovering oneself, having a crush, adhering to uniqueness and freeing oneself. It fully illustrates the connotation of being Young and Unique, Alone but Unyielding.

      Founded in 2009, the Academy Award is the only creative activity of Chinese college students' advertising arts, approved by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) and hosted by China Advertising Association (CAA). As an important national award recognized by State Council, it has become a brand of creative activities for college students, also attracting the attention from industries.
