On the afternoon of April 17th, the 30th Sound of Spring - the annual series of foreign languages activities - and the 11th Japanese Culture Exhibition opened in Mingde Hall. Endorsed by HQU and organized by College of Foreign Languages, Sound of Spring contains 9 events and 10 competitions: the Opening Ceremony, Japanese Culture Exhibition, English and Japanese Hosting Competitions, English and Japanese Speaking Contests, English Debate Competition, English and Japanese Sitcom Competitions, English and Japanese Mock Interview Competitions, English and Japanese Dubbing Competitions, and the Award Ceremony.
Sound of Spring was founded in 1989 and only had one event - the English Speaking Competition - at its initial stage. Gradual steps have been taken to enrich its activities, rendering it diverse and content-abundant. Up to now, it boasts its new features, such as the English Debate Competition (the 8th), the Foreign Songs Singing Competition (the 10th), the English and Japanese Sitcom Competitions (the 11th), and the Japanese Culture Exhibition (the 12th) .
